  What Kidscope Means to Me
By: De Boys

A student on suspension from school wrote this about his time at Kidscope:

“When I go to Kidscope, I get help and I feel a lot better about myself. I have fun doing all sorts things that helps to keep me busy after school.”

A young man that has attended the Kidscope program over the past several years stated:

“I like the comfort that receive from the staff at Kidscope. I have been coming to the center since I was a little boy. The program has made me change a whole lot about myself and I’ve tried to behave myself in school. The counselor allows me to open up and talk. Kidscope is a great place that I enjoy.”

Another student faced with the possibility of expulsion from public school wrote this with the help of staff to his parents:

Dear Mom and Dad,

“As you are aware, I have been meeting with the therapists at Kidscope over the past few months and have expressed my desire to make some changes in my life. I would first like to apologize for the mistakes that I have made in and out of school and the stress that I have made within our family. I am writing this to you to explain what I feel my choices for the future are.

I believe that you have the best interests for me and would like to see me graduate from C.A.H.S within the next two years. However, if I am not permitted back to school, these are some of the options that may exist for me. After speaking with the therapists at Kidscope, this is what we came up with.”
